Big Sur Elopement Photographers | Kelly + Danny

I have always told my friends that there is absolutely no way I would ever be any of their wedding photographers. First off, how am I supposed to focus on anything with a never-ending flow of tears? And secondly, I want to be there for them… I want to stand with them, I want to enjoy with them… I don’t want to work all day! (No matter how much I love it!) But there is absolutely one exception to this rule… If you decide to elope I absolutely, positively, must be your photographer!!! And luckily for me, so far they’ve listened.

I’ve known Kelly since I was 14 years old. We grew up together. We watched each other go through just about everything in life. So it was only fitting to spend this amazing day with these two. Kelly and Danny eloped in our favorite place in California! Big Sur! And she killed it in a gorgeous Boho BHLDN gown that I’m totally in love with. We spent the day soaking up flower covered cliffs, strolling under red wood canopies, sipping beers and chasing each other around the purple sand beaches of Pfeiffer Beach. I know I’ve said it before but “magical” does not begin to explain this gorgeous Big Sur elopement.

The Wood Shed San Diego Wedding | Helen + JK

This may sound weird to most but one of my favorite parts about Helen and JK’s Wood Shed wedding is how completely uninterested Helen was in the “details” and formalities of it all. There was no first dance… unless you count the lap dance JK gave Helen. No parent dances, although the parents were getting down from the moment the ceremony ended. Not even a formal dinner or dinner time, just delicious tacos being made to order all night. The venue is a statement piece all on it’s own, so all it needed was a raging party to fill it and these guys’ didn’t disappoint!

Their whole day start to finish was about nothing other than celebrating their love… and it was amazing!
